The CPI Institute of Graduate Studies - CIGS offers a number of scholarship opportunities for students each year.  The scholarship program offers financial aid for students who earn their degree online and who are not able to pay for the full tuition fee of the program. In most cases the program offers financial aid that cover more than 30% of the program cost. 

 
 

Target Groups
According to the CCU Board of Trustees decree number 3487 for the year 2002, many categories fall under this decree including: 

  • Nationals of developing countries 
  • Employees of NGQs and Public service organizations
  • Member of minority groups 
  • Winners of international humanitarian awards
  • Nationals of countries under crisis or risk factors
  • Creators of local or international projects serving humanity
  • Members of official religious service organizations

Scholarship value /inclusions

The scholarship covers the following:

  • The scholarship discounting value for online programs differs according to the program, nationality and the eligibility of the students,  however most of our students who get approved for the scholarship program  receive a financial aid covers more than 30 % of the program’ tuition fee.
     
  • The Scholarship program also cover the full cost of the online program director and thesis supervisor including face to face research meetings in Switzerland or abroad, when and where applicable

 

General Eligibility Criteria

In addition of being a member of the program target groups mentioned here above the following general criteria may be applicable:

 
  • First class Master degree or equivalent University degree if applying for PhD studies/research or a First Class Doctoral Degree if applying for a Postdoctoral Fellowship Program.
     
  • Acceptance Letter from the Registrar Office of you are applying for Master , Hospitality, or Executive Education Program
     
  • Applicants should be residing in their home country at the moment of the application.  Applicants who are in Switzerland since more than 1 year are not eligible.
     
  • Applicants must provide a letter (e-mail) from a Professor or the Registrar office at CCU stating that he/she is willing to supervise the Research, PhD, or the Postdoctoral research when applicable.
     
  • Applicants must have a research proposal including a timeframe (this is the central piece of the application. The applicant must devote all required attention to it) only applicable for doctoral and postdoctoral applicants.
     
  • Applicants must be in command of the necessary language skills required for the program.

    Please notice that criteria for Doctoral or Postdoctoral scholarship applicants are not obligatory in other programs applications.

There is no official deadline for applications, however the scholarship committee meets in specific dates each semester to discuss and decide on applications provided, please make sure to complete and submit your application before this meeting.
