Cambridge Corporate University names Hossam El-Shazly as the new president

Widely admired corporate education, politician, and business leader, who previously served as CCU Chair of the Board of Trustees and CPI CEO, to become next president in July.

Prof.Dr. Hossam El-Shazly, one of the most experienced and respected leaders in Corporate higher education in Europe, will become the next president of Cambridge Corporate University onJuly 15, 2020

Currently the Chair of the Board of Trustees at CCU, and Professor of Strategic Planning &Change Management at the Albert Schweitzer School of Management, El-Shazly also served for ten years as the President & CEO of the CPI International Group and the Chairman of InternationalOperation. He also occupied senior international higher education management positions prior to that.


Dr.El-Shazly is known as the founder of the modern corporate education model at CCU and the chief architect of the story of success of the CPI international group. Growing the firm from a middle-sized Swiss pharmaceutical company with a small corporate training center in 2000 to a global giant group with forecasted activities of two billion Swiss Francs in the year 2016 with abroad network of leading industry and business partners worldwide.

He is known for his dedication to expanding student opportunity, fostering innovation in education and research, enhancing collaboration across schools and disciplines, and spurring consideration of how universities can best serve society.


Dr.El-Shazly is one of the known political figures & thought leaders in Egypt and played a significant role in shaping public opinion after the 25th January revolution 2011. As an Advocate of the liberal democratic vision, he runs for the presidency in Egypt two times in 2012 & 2018.A native of Alexandria, Egypt, attended the school of Medicine at the University of Alexandria, earned his Master's degree from the University of Liverpool, and his Ph.D. in change management from CCU. With scholarly interests that range across strategic management, change management, economics, and public policy, he is an author of groundbreaking articles and publications, a leading authority in his respective field, and a well-respected economic and political advisor.

In accordance with CCU's charter, El-Shazly was elected to the Cambridge corporate presidency today (June. 30, 2020) by the majority of the CCU Board of Trustees and the AcademicCommittee at CCU.
